 Infant Massage classes are open to parents/grandparents/caregivers. Babies should be between the ages of newborn and crawling. Expectant mothers are also welcome.
You will learn a combination of Swedish and Indian Massage strokes which will nourish the baby emotionally, initiate an intimate bonding between you and your baby, and help reduce gas/colic so your baby sleeps better. Your baby will be trained to relax, giving him/her a head start in life. Massage will help strengthen and regulate your baby’s respiratory, immune, circulatory, nervous, and gastrointestinal systems. Likewise, it will help build muscle tone, coordination, and brain function.
Your baby will receive great benefits from this experience, and you will develop more confidence in communicating with your little one’s cues. Your bonding and connection will strengthen, (particularly a moving experience for dads), and you will experience deep relaxation! |

With the many demands and responsibilities of life today, especially with a new baby, the nurturing gift of touch is priceless. You may currently be learning how to massage your infant, so we invite you and your partner to come and learn simple and easy Swedish massage strokes to nourish and recharge yourselves. Be open to:
- Reduce stress and tension in your body
- Experience deep relaxation
- Discover a deeper sense of you
- Enjoy soothing and nurturing touch
- Release toxins from your body
We will focus on strokes emphasizing the shoulders, head, neck, back, and feet.
Besides the lectures and demonstrations in our 4-hour class, you’ll have plenty of time to practice this joyful experience with your partner.
To prepare for a comfortable experience, bring a pillow and a blanket or quilt, and come wearing a bathing suit. Oil, handouts, and a syllabus will be provided.

 Healing Touch for Babies, developed by Rita Kluny, RN, CHTP/I
Healing Touch is an energy therapy in which practitioners consciously use their hands in a heart-centered and intentional way to support and facilitate physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health. |

What to Expect from a Treatment:
The treatment for babies and children can be done on a massage table or in the arms of their mom/dad or caregiver. Clothes are on. With your permission, the practitioner uses his/her hands to asses you/your child’s energy field and proceeds to clear and balance it as needed using either off-body touch (near body but no direct contact), or a gentle (still) touch over various areas of the body. Most experience deep relaxation and peace. You will also be given tools you can use on your baby.

 Happiest Baby on the Block Classes, developed by Harvey Karp, MD, Pediatrician and faculty member at UCLA, will help you learn how the first three months of your baby’s life is the 4th trimester. Your baby’s acclimation to the huge amount of stimuli present in the life outside of mom’s body can be challenging, resulting in your baby crying and crying. Learn in minutes or seconds how to soothe the fussiest baby with step-by-step techniques of recreating the environment of the womb outside of mom’s body. Help control colic, help your baby sleep more at night ~ help stimulate the calming reflex – the virtual “off-switch” to crying that all babies are born with.
